Spider eating ant

Didn't even see the ant until reviewing the picture later. Shot on iPhone.
I think it's an ant anyway...

You may have heard of Olloclip , it's a 3-in-1 lens, wide angle, fisheye & macro,
Well I bought a third party no branded version instead for a fifth of the price. The macro lens just magnetically attached over your lens :)

Great shot!
looks like Salticus scenicus jumping spider, also known as a zebra spider due to the stripes.
I don't think it is an ant it is eating, but another spider of the linyphiidae (or 'money spider') family :-)

A friend of mine used to use a mobile phone with a x20 pocket magnifier for taking macro shots. He managed to get some stunning shots!

Thanks for that Richard, some Instagram people mentioned jumping spiders to me too, but I personally don't have a clue, they're all spiders to me - unless it's a tarantula lol.

Pocket magnifier I've heard is good too, and can be picked up from pound shops, but then you have the hassle of holding the magnifier in one hand, iPhone in the other, unless you get the elastic bands out of course lol.
I've also seen online that for the 3GS users, put a tiny drop of water onto the lens so that it forms a droplet, this works as a magnifier too, and being a minuscule amount of water, won't damage your phone .. :)

You may have heard of Olloclip :)

I love learning new things (well ... within my limits :p) & Olloclip im really happy to learn about.
So much so that an iphone which i never considered has suddenly become interesting.

Super photo Adam ... natures violent gloriousness.

Thank you ahmad, if you're interested, there are also 'Photojojo' lenses that stick magnetically, for roughly the same price.
However I went cheap and bought fakey chinesey ones from eBay for around £10 /)

Thank you for your comments everyone

a lightbulb just clicked on...

a few years ago I bought a big box of (basicly) junk at an online auction. amongst the bits was a supplementary tele lens for a Kodak Disc camera. I wonder if I chucked it out?
