Staircase Ii

I have to say, I'm loving the DP1M!
That's good Rob.
Have to say I am hooked. Love the size, love the way it needs to be used. Love the output. It excites me. That though may say more about me than the camera . I hope the DP1 comes through later this week, the 19mm/28mm will be very usable on the harbour around the fishing industry.

I am sure it will be. I'm hoping to end up with the DP1 and DP3. That should suffice for me. I hope I can get the money together before they discontinue them, although I suppose I could wait for them to appear on the 2nd-hand market.

For me it gives the experience of shooting film, with the convenience of digital. It's odd, but I walk around thinking and seeing as I do with film.

Yes can relate to the film thing.
They were selling the first DP models with the smaller sensor up until three months ago through various outlets. So they may be available for a while. Yet the new Quattro may well be something special who knows? not I.

We had something of a conversation on this subject a few weeks ago, Rob. Julian was involved, too. That was my take on the Sigma cameras with the Foveon sensor--they give you something akin to film shooting that conventional digital imagery doesn't.

The Foveon tentacles (had to check my spelling there!) are reaching out to you, Brian. Actually, I think you'd love this camera. So what, if it takes 5 years to process a shot, with its little red heart blinking away as if its life depended on it. Bless. :)
