Stills

Thanks guys. The first intrigues me because of the curve of the columns. Is this a 'problem' with the 28mm conversion lens for the x100, or is something else at play. I like the effect in this photo, but it might be annoying elsewhere.

Aha, some more gems from the series! Love the way you have use the reflection in the second to 'frame' Rhona as she descends the stairs and i like the glow around her and the diffuse shadow on the wall. In the next, not showing what is on the screen is clever - it makes you more curious about is being watched and the red coat and blue tones work very well I think. I also like the image wall and the processing gives it a solemn feel - you get the feeling that you are observing someone survey maybe a lost love or something. I'm also intrigued by the figure in the window beside the portrait of Rhona - is it the reflection of someone watching? And then comes my favourite (aside from the first which I still think is wonderful. The man beside the screen with the woman peering at him from it and the young woman looking, seemingly pointedly, at the book. It all looks so staged. I love it. :)

It does look staged, I agree, and that's what I like about it too. Thanks for all the descriptions - they make me believe for a moment I can take a half decent photo every now and then :) You asked me before if my return to film photography over the last while has left a mark on even my digital work, and I think you are right. It's all about seeing, anticipation and wonder. And film has slowed me down, and helped me see better, I believe. Still don't know what I'm doing though! Thanks again for your support, Pete.
