I've taken this view many times in the past, and will probably continue to do so as the skies are forever changing around it...
This was taken with an old Russian Mir-1B 37mm lens which has a terrible habit of flaring in bright conditions, so the use of a collapsible rubber hood is needed.
However, this is the first time I've used it on my full frame SLR and the vignetting from the hood was horrendous, hence the judicious cropping...
Still, I think I've managed to catch the essence of that hail rumbling down Strathbogie...
