Susan at Waverley Station

...when she was leaving for Oxford. I'll be having a holiday there and London, with both the girls, from Saturday. Just a quick snap before the frown  The Kodak shop tend to render the images slightly sepia-ed (sepiaed? sepia'd?) I made a b&w version, but I actually quite like the touch of sepia.

And some chunky metal, rivets and carriages from Waverley Station. Again I liked the sepia.

I'd just like to say that I love film! I took the Panasonic FZ1000 out for a spin around town today. Took 50 images, and binned the lot. I might try to get my money back..it's a good camera, I just find film so much more loveable.

Super picture of Susan, a telling expressive and loving reflection of the photographer.
Can understand the digital setback, I struggle with all my camera's other than the Merrill's which are far far removed from the usual Bayer array and at times I find very pleasing along with the uniqueness. Yet full heartedly go along with the sentiments you have on film.
I had my first bridge camera years ago , died now, but still find the output it gave quite pleasing. I do wonder if it was because it was only 6MB sensor or it had a CCD sensor. I noticed Clifton cameras have a couple of small Leica's, their Lux range which have CCD sensors. Although cheapish still a risk and a very small sensor.

I did wonder about the D-Lux, but it's apparently pretty much identical to a much cheaper Panosonic. They seem to have a strange relationship.

Cheers, Brian.

I did take the Panasonic back, and got a full refund. I'll keep the money for film and development.
Well done with the return.
Yes the small leica lux's seem to be re-badged and body design different Panasonic lx cameras. Yet those small Panasonic's are superb cameras and built like tanks .

Lovely portrait of a beautiful lady apparently with a smile upon her lips that can be interpreted in many directions. Photographer left behind eh? I promise no lecture on whether use of film or digital Rob. I just think you have not found the right camera yet. Tried an Olympus have you? The digital edition to the late Olympus OM1, namely OMD EM 10 mrk ll.:D
