Rob,...I load mine into Photobucket, then I click on the "IMG Code" and paste that into my post.

Rob i have sorted your photo out so it will appear for you 
I went to your google + page viewed the image, right clicked and selected "Copy Image URL"
I then went to insert the image into this post via the "Image" logo, then clicked URL and pasted / inserted the url i had copied from your image.
Hope that makes sense

Well, many thanks, Darren. I've managed to get it as a thumbnail. I guess it has to be less than 650 in length to fit in a text box without being shrunk. OK, I'm the new kid, trying to find my way. Please be patient 
The image I added is not the one I linked to earlier. I put that one into Photoshop played with the levels. I like the darkness of the water, almost oil-like - so I guess it's now a highly political statement LOL.

I like this with the levels pumped, I too have been out with the birds today Rob but haven't posted mine yet. I think creating a darker water is a good move especially with this sort of subject.
As for posting, you'll get the hang of it, I use Photobucket and Flickr as my sources, there are tutorials on here somewhere but can't remember where, I'm Sure Hamish or Pete will point you in the right direction
