That's what you call social smoking! I'm also fascinated by the guy in the background by the rubbish bags for some reason. Are you out 'east' then for Xmas?
On ya hold are we Jim ... Alright for some!
make sure to take lots of photos for us!
how have you found people's reactions to your photo taking... Any different?
I've had a sneaky look on your Flickr ... So I knows what you haven't share with us
some real corkers on there, I wonder if you and I have very different taste in your photography, I often note what I concider to be better shots on there than you post on here...?
The shot of the person on a bike with a mask on looking back at the woman with the mask as she walks past you ... Brilliant timing that!

I agree with what you said. I post the ones that resonate with me personally the most here, but I often have trouble telling if they are considered "the best" of the lot by other more artistic minds .
Time and again this is troublesome. I look at a shot and ask--Good enough to post? Sometimes I get good feedback, sometimes not. (More accurately,...the courtesy that prevails among members of RPF results in no comments rather than otherwise.) I wish I knew what was good and what wasn't.
The key is "what I consider..." It's completely subjective, and id imagine even people's individual view change daily.
And then when it comes to determining merit in your own photos ... Well that's a whole other ball game. You have the experience of being at the location, the emotional attachment to the subject, the satisfaction of capture, the hour spent tweaking the post process to the point it is perfect etc etc etc to add into the mix ...
its the beauty of this hobby ... For me and you Jim, all it means is that I often remember to check your Flickr after you post here ... Which is fine by me
