Take Me To The Bridge

Superb Rob. At first I thought you had used the X3 fill light in SSP. Sliding that fill light back can work wonders with the light and soften an image. Love the look whatever and the lines and forms in the first image for me are as good as it gets.

Thanks, Julian. I have played with the X3, and like it's qualities, but didn't use it here. Glad you like, however I got there :)

I like the first one because of how the light is focused on the bridge. I think it would be even better had the fourth string been picked out like the other three are; maybe it's a nylon string?

Pete - thanks. Yes, I do like that one. Seems to be singing.

Tom - yes, the first string is nylon, which is normal for a cello banjo.

Glad you like em, folks.

The OOF is nice because they look like the strings are vibrating (albeit on the wrong side of the bridge I think).

What's all this about poor high ISO performance on the Sigmas? Can't tell from these images, Rob.

It does start deteriorating beyond 800, in certain situations, but a film user like yourself, Brian, wouldn't worry about that too much.
