Two lovely images where the top one, actually a bit of the same, but the one I prefer before the other. Very good Beth. I've been there too and I wish to go back, really.

thanks @Ivar D. Larsen , @John Holland, @Rob MacKillop, @Dave Farnes and @Ivar D. Larsen (again). ivar, i keep going between the two as well, i shot several different spots that night, but these two were my favorites of mormon row. i wish i could have moved further back and shot the moulton barn like i did the second, but that wasn't happening in a car. this is the same location where i was chased off by wolves a few years ago so i'm not too eager to get very far from my car.

Well on my visit in 2009, I was a little farther up the road I think in september month and I posted one from there too, which you commented on as I remember. At some bend in the river. Anyways, a wonderful area indeed. ( Did not post it in 2009 though ).

absolutely a wimp. :p
Talking about me you two? As I had to shoot two bears, drive away a buffalo herd of a hundred species, swim the river, just to set up my tripod for the picture and get pestered by some wolves. And when done, had to swim back across the river. Me with Helga on my back. I'd like to see the city slicker of a Scotsman do that!

I really like both of them Beth. The night light mutes the colours too.
thanks Milan.

i was out at mormon row shooting star trails a few years ago and the wolf between us and the mountains howled. the one behind us answered. then a few more from different directions had to pipe in, the horses next to us started to make some very distressed noises. and then we decided it was time to high tail it to the car. then last year i was shooting at night in badlands national park and heard something behind me on the parking lot pavement. turned around and came almost face to face with a big horn sheep. and i was between it and a cliff. all i could think of was my obituary was going to say i died by being headbutted off of a cliff. this year we were caught in a buffalo traffic jam. stuck (stopped) on the road in yellowstone while a pretty large herd made it's way around us. didn't want to roll down the window because they were close enough to touch.

thanks Milan.

Well you see Beth, we nature photographers are up against tough conditions. Honestly an interesting encounter to learn about. That area is very special and as said before, I'd love to go back. Thanks for sharing.
