Taken at South Kensington on Friday. Not really sure why I found a pile of plastic bags interesting, I think it was the colour and the way you can see some of the brighter contents through the plastic.

I think also the shapes of the bags are somehow reflected in the shape of the arches. I can see the appeal.

Yes I think this works well, the colours make this, not sure if the usual black bin bags would have worked as well. There is in a way a contradiction of environment that works.

Thanks Pete, I never noticed that the bags reflect the shape of the arches but I can see what you mean. Shame there wasn't just 2 huge 6 foot high green bags.

Cheers Julian, yes I see. The stonework is all regular and ordered but the bags themselves have more chaotic shapes to them even though they are stacked in an orderly fashion.

I find your reasoning for shooting this image interesting, Paul. I'm the same; I'm walking around,...I see something that for some reason (maybe not a crystal clear reason) makes me want to make a picture. Sometimes it works sometimes not. This one of yours works. It makes me want to know why those bags are piled up there? What's that building for? And so on.
