The Bridge

For me the attraction of this image is the difference in clarity between the sharp horizontal lines, such as the railings and horizon, vs. the softness of bridge's upright supports. How Rob worked out that those are wind turbines in the distance I don't know, but they offer some mystery to the image. Good timing getting those, Pete.

Thanks, Brian. In fact the turbines are the only sharp bit on the image. The train moves at quite a speed and there are lots of pillars as the railway is on the lower level of the bridge so I simply look dozens with the camera pressed against the window knowing that one or two would be both in focus and hopefully reasonably composed. I got two, one of which is not as sharp, but has an interesting composition. I've used this 'technique' to good effect in the past.

I assumed you had been a passenger in a car. Didn't think about a train. Whatever the mode, its hard getting the timing right. Pot luck in fact I think.

I love it Pete!

It's my favourite bridge anywhere. I think it's simply beautiful.
As you fly into Copenhagen (certainly from the UK, anyway) you often overshoot the city, and bank over the Oresund, getting a great view of it and the curved array of offshore wind turbines.
