Thanks, Martin. I hope to put it to good use. I bought two bodies. I'm thinking of using one of them to learn how to clean and repair the OM series cameras and lenses. I've already purchased some tools on amazon, but first I've got to put a roll of film through both bodies to see if one is better than the other.
That means your on the slippery slope. I have six Pentax bodies one Im using as a donor body that Ive striped down to the bone replaced light seals on five and got the light meter working on all five I yet to run film through them.
With these being mainly Mechanical theres not much to go wrong and a good clean and grease is often all they need and its not that hard to do.
Im sure your have no problems a good supply Isopropyl and pec pads and your be on your way in no time.
John instead of using cotton buds on the cleaning I found PVA glue spreaders with a piece of pec pad taped on to it very handy. Its like a sensor cleaning swab and gets in all the nooks and crannies
I'm looking forward to see what I can do with it, also. I've already started a collecting wish list and have three other Olympus models I'm interested in - Trip 35, Pen FT, and XA2. I've shot the XA2, so I'd kind of like to have one. I've never shot a Trip 35, but I've read a lot about both it and the original Pen. It's like I said in my intro post, I'm finally excited about photography again.

Ah that looks like a good, healthy obsession building there!
Make sure you document that service. We'd love to see it, John - you can leave out the bit where you are crawling around on your hands and knees looking for a small screw though!
