Did they not put Dams in the upper parts and if so, has that effected the water levels?

As I remember I couldn't see any Dams in the upper parts. As I heard the main reason why the water level has effected is because the area is under reconstruction. Many places in China is getting very gcommercial nowaydays to earn money

When you were there did you trek The Tiger Leaping Gorge; it would be very close to Lijiang.

I did Tom, but I only visited the upper level only due to tight schedule so the water is pretty less...
