And if I may also say Pete, the best of a great bunch. Lovely atmosphere like the others and I love how the signs work at right angles to each other.
On the large bollard on the left Pete; it would be excellent if you could throw a bit more light on the area where the chain makes the connection, thus giving a tiny little window of light on to the water behind. But it may be perfect as it is and my monitor might be the issue.
Irrespective of all that this is a beautiful image.
On another matter Pete; I note my avatar, beside each of my posts, has disappeared and been replaced with something weird. Any ideas?

Your Avatar look normal to me Tom.

Thanks for comments. I think you are right and the Vignette from the lens has darker the water a touch too much on that side. I was concentrating on the line onto the jetty and the line out down the river. The chain actually joins at the far side of the pillar and so you cannot see the actual connection. I reworked the original to give this.

Tom, that weird thing is your head...;)

Pete - superb! The toning works perfectly here. Love the textural contrasts - the cobbles, the metal (?) jetty floor, the water, trees and clouds. On the edge (which I like) of having overblown highs in the clouds, which obviously contrasts well with the rest of the image.

Go and lie down. Your job is done.

Delightful bucolic scene, Pete. I can't really discern a difference between the two images, though. No matter, they're both delightful.
