The "Monument" and the monumental disaster...

A bit of a rant...forgive me...

Sometimes I despair at the thought processes running through the grey matter of some "Cooncillors"

The Ochil Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, in full view of the Wallace Monument and historical Stirling Castle, which themselves bring money to the coffers from tens of thousands of visitors, now totally spoiled by a complete lack of joined-up-thinking, resulting in the monstrosity that is the Beauly to Denny power line being forced right through it all...

And now those in control admit that maybe they could have sprung for the cash to put it underground...

Sad...

But someone made money from the decision. Didn't you know that avarice is no longer considered a sin. It is now apparently a virtue. It even turns people that should be laughed out of the public arena into presidential clients.
