Julian, I read the article and it is phenomenal. As are the photos you took in Venice. OK, the text is nice, but it gives a somewhat oleographic image of Venice and Venetians, it reminds me of certain foreign films or the travellers who made the famous Voyage to Italy two centuries ago. My perception of Venice is a little less fun, but that's normal, I live close to it.

Thank you, Gianluca. Venice, for me, is one of the places I respect, because of its historic significance in the European (and not only) becoming. True, I am not blind to its less than glamorous aspects, and certainly I am not seeing with the eyes of a local. Today it's only a shadow of its former glory, but even so, Venice is well, Venice.
