The Weekend is here YAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

So - what's the plan?

Today I'm off to the opposite coast to photograph Gannets and Puffins etc!

Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve.

Tomorrow alas I'm working for some of the day - photographing a Civic Parade and church service for our new Mayor.

Enjoy yourself at Bempton Cliffs, I've been a couple of times and think it's a great place.
Me, I'm off to North Wales for a week so I hope the nice weather holds out.

So far I have my camera gear, binoculars, 60 cans of beer and a bottle of Asbach Brandy packed so the important stuff is ready, anything I miss apart from that I'll survive without LOL!!! .

Hmmm... I have a short weekend having worked on my non-working day (end of accounting period). It will take the best part of 8 hours on both days to do all the pill giving, feeding, mucking out and claw trimming. We're off the week after next and I'm hoping to get out once or twice. Any suggestions for something cheap and cheerful in the south east most welcome. At the very least we may share a bag of chips on the coast while I try and photograph the seagulls

I'm just back from an early Saturday morning at the local park with some shots of swans, baby ducklings, etc, and also I tried out the video on the XS1. Now I'm home and it's only 11am. I'll edit this stuff, then maybe go out again later in the day. The sun is - amazingly - too hot for me already...

That that weekend went ok!

Bempton was superb as always - I came home with about 120 shots good enough to keep. Fear not - I won't bore you with them all LOL!

Yesterday's Mayoral parade went well - I now have over 300 RAW files to process at work this morning! Yesterday afternoon wasn't so great. Out in the wilds of Moore Nature Reserve in Warrington on my own and had a spell of the dizzies! Too much sun over the weekend I think. Had to come home - drink lots of fluids - fluids with carbohydrates in did the trick hehehe... Very tired today!

Had a week at a little village called Whitford near Holywell, Flintshire and a great time was had by all.

It's that time again!

The weather is letting us down here so unsure of the plan at the moment. If there's anything like good weather I'm hoping to get up to the South Lakes area on the hunt for Green hairstreak butterflies!

Doing the Kentmere round tomorrow - an idea for a long exposure on top of Ill Bell as it has some amazing cairns on top with great views in the background. About an eleven mile walk so not sure exactly how much kit I'll take with me.

It's been a while since I did the Kentmere horseshoe - nice walk! The Thornthwaite beacon / High Street area is one of my faves in The Lakes!
