Three Bridges. Two Views.

These are not from my trip on Saturday, but this morning (Sunday). I felt like going back. Yesterday was sunshine, today was deluge. I prefer the deluge! Hexar, XP2, Auld Nik.

Here we have the legs of the new road bridge, seen through the legs of the current road bridge.

Hard to get a different shot of the famous rail bridge, The Forth Bridge...

Oh that last. Been at the very spot at the south queensferry lifeboat. Only problem was it was blowing a hooly and none my pics came out very well. No tripod at the time :mad:

Another fine pair. Interesting composition in the first but, to be honest, it doesn't quite work me as, without knowing you are looking trough the legs of another bridge, the split view juts seems a touch odd. Maybe if there was a touch more detail in the shadows. Sorry. :(

But the second though is fabulous I think and even more so because of the texture on the water and the touch of glow on the arches. Love the grain the sky too. :)

Good observations. I'm in two minds about the first, but am happier with the second. Although that bridge is a triumph of metal work, it wouldn't be there if not for the stone and brick supports. Nice to feature them.

Love the second one Rob...6.5 million rivets...and 75 lives...so the literature relates....
