Three From This Morning

DP1M, some NikSilver. While waiting for a film to be developed, I took a wander around the back streets, where there happened to be some antique and junk shops...

1. Rather large, ornate umbrella, hanging from the rafters:

2. Display boxes with glass tops. These, I was informed, once belonged to the museum, and were filled with insects with pins in them. I think they could be put to a creative use, but at a £1 per box...hmm...maybe. I'm thinking on it.

3. Gentlemen's Own Material Made up...

A successful wander I reckon. Love the specimen boxes - I used to have some of those when I was really into entomology (the wooden cases are still around, not are about the museum-board ones though) - and I really like the framing of the umbrella (parasol). Shame you didn't have some material with you, you could have gotten some new togs whipped up! ;)
