You thought right , I have a Pentax K30 and purchased a Pentax KS2 on last thursday. Mainly because I then have two cameras identical in use, both can take a heck of a lot of rain even can wash it under the tap, truly. I do not have to change lenses. They are light, small and jolly good in low light and the last one, the KS2 has no AA filter albeit it can be turned on. It's about 20mb, lightening fast focus and follow focus and compared to the fuji X-E1, the viewfinder is crystal clear big prism finder with a hundred % view and not to forget a flip out rear display. One fuji is on the shelf, one is with me with a 35mm/1,4 and the two Pentaxes. Almost as you with the three Merlins When I'm sporty, well that's the camera.
Thank you Pete, but the Trojan horse is stuck so no worry.Fabulous set of images there, Ivar and my favourite is the one with the Trojan horse sneaking up on those two walkers!
Yes Julian, both k30 and the last ks2 have it. I may sound like a teenager in love, but that is what it feels like. Actually Pentax is underrated, they have made them very logical in regard to operations and the last one, ks2, also has a display to flip out sideways etc..Have a look at it on the net I can truly recommend it albeit it was launched recently. With a one like that with it's new collapsible kit lens, you won't have to worry about rain, sleet, snow or seawater. All you have to do is rinse it under the tap. Honestly, we have done it with no fear or bad result.Ivar, does it have an electronic level in it ?
I wondered how useful the level was? No I am not going to buy another camera in the foreseeable future. Done with that. I got the Olympus EM-5 a long time ago ,which is fine in the pouring rain with appropriate lenses. That was one good reason for the purchase as I had this idea of taking a lot of shots in the rain. But it turns out I dont stand around a lot in the rain taking pictures as often as I thought I may. I have heard a lot about Pentax and from the film days new the camera, the results I see, are superb.Yes Julian, both k30 and the last ks2 have it.
