Two Forms

Looks like onion seed heads, or at least the Allium family to me, but then you took them therefore must know. ;)

I've no idea. A woman said, "Look at those courgettes!". Might well be onions. But they are about five-feet tall.

I used the grain in SPP. I quite like it.

Courgettes are low growing, usually yellow flower that bud close to the the crown. Often used themselves as a creation in a dish as they will last a while as the small courgettes grow and picked with the flower still attached and used that way in Posh restaurants ;). Courgettes are of the marrow family, simply picked earlier. Love picking them and straight into a pan .
 
At 5 feet tall it could be leek. One of my gardening customers left a few to flower this year, like little Alliums, they are very pretty flowers.
