Two

Suer stuff again Rob and interesting how just small change of viewpoint alters the feeling of the image. The first is very much about the river with the arch just visible in the reflection. The other has a totally different feel to it I think. More mystery.
 
That's funny isn't it... The first is probably a "better" photo on paper, the composition would be considered the best by most. It certainly has many of the required "tricks"; leading lines with the poles and framing with a tree. But for some reason the second is a more interesting photo. I suppose there is just somehow more narrative and less reliance on, well, tricks ...?
 
Thanks, guys. I think the problem - if there is one - is that those leading lines don't lead to anything worth highlighting. The interest is at the sides of the frames. I guess the wall looks more interesting in the second.
