There's not enough info to discuss it really, what was he taking photos of? I see lots of other people with cameras so why him ?

i presume he is taking photo's of the planes being at an air show..........

The Text The Guy Wrote Is As Follows

I was stopped and subsequently Jumped on by two police officers at this years airshow at Farnborough, my crime?, Taking photographs, please be aware I was not doing anything else but taking photographs and images in a place deemed public and open to the public.
I was thrown to the ground cuffed and all the usual police behaviour then ensued, I know my rights with regards to filming in public, and as a result of G4S security and their untrained operatives not understanding what technology I had about my person they assumed I was 'lasering' the pilots during the display, I only swore at the police once I was away from the public so this is not for those with sensitive ears that are easily offended, I was dragged into a porta-cabin and jumped on by all of the officers you see on the clip, at one point they accused me of carrying an explosive device and being a terrorist, this clip is raw unedited footage and the section of it that has no images was when I was being frogmarched through a crowd of thousands whilst my 'explosive laser device' was in the officers pocket. I was truly humiliated, all charges have since been dropped. I present this footage for you to make up your own minds as to what went on.

the device he also had on him that they were suspicious about was

he's guilty of (almost) stupidity taking that to a high security airshow in this day and age, I realise it's a camera but I wouldn't have known that and he would have been pointing it directly at the plane and the pilots.... whatever kicking he received seemed to stem from his own agitation. If he could have calmly shown how the device took pictures and some of the pictures on it then the matter would have been diffused but instead he started with a statement that would have made a sailor blush

This seems to be a case of Karma, if you look at his other video's on youtube you can clearly see he is a bit of a racist and quite public with that. I wont link it on here but there is one called "St Georges day Aldershot 2012," which is completely out of line. Sure he was right with his knowledge of photography laws, but also stupid with the way he dealt with the police.

Goods points raised, he could have co operated with the security and the police. Some calm words and a demonstration of what the device done would have sorted everything out. I have been stopped by the police before as they thought I was carrying a sawn-off shotgun, it was actually a hand saw in a carrier bag. I was polite and friendly and cooperated and within no time at all all was well. In saying that however, the police are supposed to be professionals even in the face of bad language and from what I saw their behavior was not as professional as it should have been.

yep, agree ... same old ****

This sort of thing goes on all the time ... people get the idea that they are trying to do right by a group of people by making a point

This guy is fighting the anti terrorist laws by trying to make a point, but doing it in such a way that it makes photographers and our attitude look bad

It reminds me of a facebook group I happened upon the other day ... It was for atheists, arguably extremist atheists, accusing religion of being the source of all that is bad with the world.
There were cartoon pictures of Mohamed saying very provocative things ...
It seems to have never occurred to these people that they are just being as bad as what they are "fighting" against.

Communication, cooperation, and an understanding of other peoples pov is the only way to live harmoniously ... Both parties in the video could do with taking a step back and taking a long hard look at their attitude ... and when i say parties, I mean what is behind their ideals and not just them as individuals!

to the chap in the video ... yeah, not great what happened to you, but whilst they were "dealing" with you after you didnt cooperate there might have actually been a genuine security issue, someone might have actually had a "explosive laser device" or whatever and caused many deaths or serious injuries just because you were taking up the time of security staff!
... but dont be such a douchebag all your life! :D

Sounds like a headline hunter to me, deliberately provoking a situation to be supposedly make a point. if he was genuine why shout at everyone around I've been arrested I'm only taking photos I've got a camera in my hand and blah blah...having been questioned by the Police in the past for taking photos and having absolutely no problems like being jumped on or demands on deletion etc. by therm this guy is clearly a T**T NO sympathy what so ever, it is this sort of behaviour that tars the genuine photog and amphotog with the same brush........
