A slight detour from the trip to watch the moon rise took us to this little waterfall and swimming area. It requires a little scrambling to get there but is worth the effort.

I thought I would add a square crop of another image I took whilst there just to keep on the right side of the admin personage!

Thank you John. I too look at them and have been undecided. However, I find myself leaning toward the second mostly for the way the water is portrayed.

Thank you all.

Peter, they were both taken with a Nikon D800 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC. The first was set at 35mm f16 0.4s ISO 1600 (yep I checked twice). The second was 42mm (supposedly close to the weak spot of this lens), f16, 8s, ISO100 and cropped. I also ran the second through a software package to sharpen as on some images it does it way better than LR can.

No matter what you did, you did excellently and the second is a winner of the two. Lovely place. Did you go for a swim as it's still summer by you?

Hi Ivar, we are now in Autumn! Summer finished two weeks ago. Just after I took this shot a father and his three kids went swimming in the pool. It is about 3m deep. I did not go in as I was on my way to meet a friend, otherwise very tempting.

Thank you Ivar.
