Came across this snap shot taken the other day on a forgotten card, but quite liked the high iso colour the Merrill's sometimes produce.

I think I prefer #2 Julian. It's richer and deep somehow. What's the difference? (Thanks for posting the exposure data.)

The colours are simply wonderful, Julian, especially in the second. And the detail in the centre of the flowers really draws you in. And I find that the higher ISO has given a nice painterly look too.

Thank you Brian, I prefer the 2nd, which I posted with an edit of the post, then nearly withdrew the 1st. What is the difference? They were both Exported as 16bit Tiff's, from Sigam Photo Pro. I took it into Cs6 Raw and used the White balance dropper,( this can be done in LR) the 1st image I took straight into Cs6. But played around a bit with colours on a random basis.

thanks Pete. True, I nearly did a third edit of the post to say it has a painterly feel. A cafe' table pot of flowers at Lost Gardens while having a coffee, it was an experiment, wish I'd taken away the wooden label.

Lol , slipped up there didnt I , yes all part of the creation, that's what it was. May pop there later to take one without.

Sorry, I'm allergic to those Merlin colours. I seem to sneeze, runny nose and eyes and I can't breethe. But the first one seems more natural by me anyway.
