An old trick with these oldies...look at the brake lights...red...around the circumference there is a serial number that includes the year.

Agreed. You can't tell by this picture, Beth, but there were a lot for very cool old cars in the parking lot of this strip mall at the time I snapped this one. A nice shiny old Merc is lovely to see, but among many other interesting cars there's an element of "ho hum" when another goes by.
