It will probably seem odd to those better photographically educated than myself, but although I was familiar with the name, I was not familiar with Haas' work.
I love it! Definitely some blur there... (in oblique reference to some recent discussions on RPF)
This video popped up from Faizal Westcott, one of the only Youtube street photographers I follow, as a kind of introduction to to Haas.
Well worth watching IMO. Faizal's own style might not be to everyone's taste, but I appreciate his sometimes rather thoughtful and reflective approach. To both photography and videography, actually.
He's clearly very much influenced by Ernst Haas... now I know where he got it!
But this video is mostly images from the book New York in Color, 1952-1962.
