I'm not able to say anything more about them, too much water under the bridge. All I can say is that these portraits of dead people from the Roman era had impressed me a lot at that time, they were very well displayed in that room of the museum, with that sepulchral penumbra. And those children who died so prematurely, depicted so realistically.... Today I think of other children who will not see their youth because of some absurd history.
