Weed? Not!

I had a long walk today, about five miles, and this was the best shot of the day. There was a hedgerow which had ran to seed, and was beginning to be overrun by weeds. But beauty lurks everywhere. We just have to look closer. I love this picture - it turned out exactly how I hoped it would. One for the printer...

It would be nice if you liked it too, but don't worry if you don't ;) The meditative walk did me the world of good, and this is for me a reminder of it.

I understand...Since retirement walking has been become more than just exercise. It really does something for my mind and soul. When I add the camera it also makes me see vs just move. I like photo by the way...not that it really matters. It's meaning is more important to you.

That's good guys, the way you walk and feel and all the more enjoy. I must say I agree and enjoy the ...weed is it? As it shows that there is some beauty in withering too.

It really is beautiful Rob and I understand how you feel about it.
I would love to see more space around the flower, especially on the vertical and maybe seeing more of the stem making the flower seem a little more 'lonely looking' or isolated.
But what's more important is your feeling for it and the pleasure it has obviously given you, and it's a pleasure I share.

Cheers, Tom. I appreciate your comments. The original version (this is a square crop) showed more, but what was there proved a distraction, I thought. So here it is. But I do know what you mean. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

Its a beauty, Rob! I love the feeling of Hollywood movie star glow which, albeit actually background OOF, sure seems to surround the center portion of the image. This bouquet has beautiful bokeh. Definitely a hanger fur the wa'.
