I like the tones and the light on the grass very much but it is a shame for the blown central highlight. Is there anything to recover in the raw file?

Hi Pete, yes i shot this in 'raw' ok, I took around ten shots of this one with different exposures being over/under etc, thats how I capture every shot.

But not sure why its 'blown out' so much...? I did try to recover this in Lightroom 5 but not much joy. I must have a much closer look at the other files I've kept from this session to see if anything can be fixed/cured etc...

Here's the exact same image as above ^^, I've slightly adjusted this now to help the blown-out sky, took my time in Lightroom 5 and used the 'heal' tool to try make the sky less blotchy, the best I can do with my editing experience.
I'll know the next time for a shot like this to under expose and bracket my shots more etc.

That is better I think Peter. And the colour of the sky goes better with the muted colours in the foreground more too I think.
