Willow Leaves

Thanks paul. yes it was with the Merrill. I have not enjoyed a camera so much in a long time. Not for the faint hearted and never likely to be for the massess. Although it was grey and raining the light was suficient, but @ 100 iso i am needing to shoot at very slow shutter speeds. I am starting to get to grips with the proccessing. Good suggestion, maybe I'll look at a square crop for the first. I kept the other twig hopeing it would create a bit of depth.

I really like the first image, Julian. I like the bits of the branch that pop into focus as they intersect the plane of focus on the leaf. Presenting it as a high key B&W is unconventional relative to how many (probably myself included) would print an image like this. Very creative and beautiful.

Thank you Keith, I have started once again printing images. But rarely and image like this would be interesting to see. I usually stick to B+W prints and that of the fishermen, and the small industrious happenings around the harbour.

There is a lot of detail going on there! Impressive!
Interesting photos too, I like the not quite conventional framing and process!
