Taken during a winter walk when we were having the snowy weather. Very pleasant if very cold and bleak, not sure who would want to sit on the bench and enjoy the view.

Thanks Brian, in summer it is pretty pleasant and in summer although the trees don't have dense foliage the bushes and plants around the edge do making it a nice contained space that you can see unless you are inside. I'm still undecided if this is not a bit of an everyday shot, it's just a bench and some trees after all. I do like the way the vertical lines of the birch trees break up the image. They are quite stark looking as they are silver white and have no foliage at the bottoms at all.

Not wrong with "every day" photos ... It doesn't all have to have some meaning to it does it ...?
The comp is pretty sweet, and I too like the trees!

Nice shot Paul...I like the lines and I'm a fan of birch.
And to answer your question...my wife (a Canadian) and I (a New Englander) love to sit outside in all of the seasons. You just have to dress...or undress for it.

Cheers, I must admit not having a lot of experience of different BW films and not producing BW images that often the PP can be a bit hit and miss. I need to sit down and spend some time really trying different things out. There are some reasonably priced software that will apparently accurately reproduce various film looks. I think I might give some demos a go.
