That works very well I think Peter and you've achieved a super image and composition from what could have been an over-complex scene. The uniformity of tone of the bare branches with their fine structure make a perfect arch/frame and the fresh, new leaves lead the eye into the path. Excellent stuff.

Yea this shot looking via rear camera screen seemed just ok, but once I looked at it via the laptop and (gently) adjusted etc the photo got better.

The top branch adds to the famous 'rule of thirds' I thought!
