Just a few from today, I took stacks ... this is a few of my preferred ones ...
the PP is possibly a little obvious ... but it does suit the subject i think!

Need to run them through the computer at work I think ... I'm not halt with the heavy vignette really
I'm pleased with the lad in the mirror most!

Of course!
Lots more to get through yet ...
Yeah, your not wrong about saving private Ryan!
Unwanted them to have a cinematic feel to them some how ... I had a good look around at reenactment photography before I went and it's seems that although a lot of it is good, a lot of it looks like photos of reenactments
I really wanted to avoid that of possible!
I'm supprised the lad in the jeep mirror with the gun isn't the winner for people ... I'm more pleased with that one than the others for it seemingly capturing a bi of human emotion ... All be it acted emotion

Maybe it's too sharp? maybe a bit of grain would give it a more authentic look?

And the uniform in the second shot is to clean and pressed...lol

Grain is an idea!
I was loathed to go too far down the road of making them look "authentic" ... ... But I think you right, an edge off the sharpness might work!
And yeah, they should get them to roll around in the dirt a bit eh?...
When I get on my photo screen I'll tweak the pp a bit I think ...

The airborne guys where awful!!! Hamish...I feel the approach you made at this event was so fresh. 99.9% of guys with huge cameras would have shot the bloke sat on the Harley that's that and walk off . check out band of brothers or BoB as it is very similar if not exact in the manner of filming that SPR was I have BoB if you would like to borrow it Hamish. Can't wait to see these, those civil war ones where awesome!!!!
