Ok i've been looking at the x10 over the last couple of days, a work mate asked me to have a look for a good point and shoot for him and i pretty much came up with the x10. Now i'm really tempted to get one myself.
So what do you think of them, good points and bad points? i read that if you want to shoot RAW you need to push the RAW button for every shot, or have they changed that?
Sometimes you just don't want to lug the DSLR around.

Cheers, Darren

i love mine Darren quality is awesome, i got it for same reason, for times when i didn't want to take out Canon Dslr but still have a camera just in case, this suits the purpose perfectly.

It looks & feels great with its metal body. I cant honestly think of any bad point that i would change, Apart from there is slight 1 second delay sometimes, where as the 7D does everything so quickly and instantly

As for the raw button, it has 3 settings, RAW, Jpeg or RAW & Jpeg..... just like my 7D

any more questions feel free to ask away

Darren, I agree with Daz, It's a take everywhere piece of kit, small enough to keep in your jacket pocket. flexible enough for most everyday shots RAW settings as per any DSLR the RAW button just allows you to change to from Jpeg on a Shot per shot basis, I shoot #RAW for 90%of the time but occasionally will shoot in Jpeg, some modes only allow Jpeg, ie Pano and 1:1 and other formats.
A lot of my 366 has been shot using the X10, because of the convenience of having it with me. the added flexibility ofthe wide/zoom lens is useful and the macro good too, a good all rounder imo

The flash seems fine and of course you can use it in silent mode if you need with no beeps and flash, the High end ISO range is good too Also have the benefit of both OVF and LCD live view.

On the down side for me I tend to move the Exposure Comp wheel occasionally by accident so need to make sure of it's setting before shooting this is usually something that occurs whist withdrawing it from my pocket.

The other down is that there is no info displayed in the OVF so in manual you are better using it in live view..

I love the camera and am glad I got it for everyday use. Wouldn't worry about the Orb issues that are slightly over exaggerated, they do occur but you can get round them...

Hope this helps... wonder if we could get a bonus from fuji for helping sell them :D:D:D
