X100S test

Now, that seems to me to be a lot lighter, more detailed than your usual shots, Steve. So you bought one? What do you think of it?

I didn't do anything to that photo. That's F4, spot metered, -1/3 EV, ISO 400 1/640. I'm not on Fuji's payroll but all I can say is I LOVE this camera. I just got it yesterday. The AF is vastly improved. The Q button is great because you can set the F button to the ND filter. The little EV wheel is very firm. On the X100 mine was always getting inadvertently moved. Plus the little menu button is no longer hard to use. You don't really need it much because of the Q menu. Apparently you can change the AF point easier but I'm not very sophisticated so I just use the center point.

I'm not a very technical person or actually a person who would review cameras but here are three positive reviews that I think are far more informative than anything I could write.

Here's one more of Ruby from yesterday. It was cloudy and intermittently raining most of our walk. The sun came out for the last 45 minutes and I managed to take 8 pictures. This is again ISO 400, spot metered, -1/3 EV , F4.

One more. F4, ISO 400, spot metered. We are supposed to have thunderstorms today so you guys are in luck no more photos. I'll be getting wet though. ;)

It doesn't it? Ruby almost looks superimposed on the scene. Interesting.

My reaction too. The detail is impressive, allied with great texture. Fuji seems to be doing some nice things with lenses and sensors.

Of course the real praise goes to the photographer, and the model.
