Sat. AM. Yes, it poured down raining shortly after the third shot and we got soaked. We were 45 minute walk back to the car.....of course...... :)

Another super set Steve. I especially like the second one.

I like these new ones in #5. They really grunge up the photos. :)

I have a model for my laundromat shoot with the Ilford 3200. I'm hoping to get it done next week. Thursday there usually isn't anyone in there (and I can do my heavy winter bedding at the same time!!!!). I also got my hair cut.

A model! I'm looking forward to these. :)

HA!!!!!!! No lingerie Pete...... I'll definitely get these scanned. I spent an hour in there last night figuring out if I could rate the film at 1600 and still hand hold the camera. I am going to shoot one roll at 3200 just to get more grain. 3200 will be no problem. If I go above F8 I'm going to have to probably use that Fuji GA645. Best I could tell at F8 the optimum shutter speed will be 60. I don't think I can get a good shot with the Mamiya at 60, 125 no problem. I'll probably shoot both cameras and use the 55 or 35 on the Mamiya to maintain some DOF. The Fuji has a 60mm on it so it's pretty wide too.

The attached is a photo of the student who is willing to "model" in the laundromat. She is a super bright kid and really interested in photography. I figured her skin tone would be interesting and present some challenges.

That's that 56mm lens at F1.2 with a three stop ND filter. That lens is waaaaaay to good for me. I think I'm going to send it back to B&H.

No lingerie, shocking! Oh, I see what you mean! ;) Have you got a story lined up to help her get the right look / feel. I think some dort of agreed back-story can help. Sounds interesting. :)

I have the shots I want. I really wanted someone older, but the one lady in our class I talked to about it is really annoying. I kind of know what I want. I've spent a lot of time in laundromats so I guess I have this sort of notion about them. Not a judgmental thing. It's hard to explain. I like to be neutral. I don't want it to be the lonely woman in the laundromat or the depressing life of people in the laundromat or something like that. I just want it to be the person in the laundromat. I'm hoping her boyfriend will come along. He's pretty photogenic in a very interesting way. I have this one shot with the TV set that is the most important one. :) That one is going to need the 35mm and I will have to be laying on the floor.

For the imagery (or are you the burned-out director ;) )?

Hopefully for the imagery, but I do live in Texas.....

I just watched La Dolce Vita again last night (probably the 200th time). I love the surreal aspect of Fellini. If I shoot some color and I'm sure I will if she is patient enough, it will be more Shining. That would be the Texas part of the shoot. :)
