Ziess Ikonta 530/2

I purchased the Zeiss Ikonta 530/2 a short while back and completely stripped it down cleaned and refurbed everything done the light seals etc and stuck it all back together, it's a folding camera and thankfully the bellows are like new, it's also a rangefinder camera...But the bit I love about it is the 6 x 9 cm negs it produces, a roll of 120 doesn't last long but who cares.. the camera was made in around 1930 but with the carl ziess jenna lens it still produces sharp images..

I have a second ikonta 530/2 which is going through the refurb process at the moment...well you have got to have one for B & W and one for colour

Lovely shots Stephen and a nice format. A write up on the camera would be really nice if you have the time at some point. I've been using a modern Fuji folder for travel recently instead of the Mamiya 7 and it works well. Easy to carry and nice and discreet.

And yes, as Pete says if you could bring your self to add photo or two of the camera to this thread that would be brilliant!
As much as you can tell from web sized images, they do look sharp!

i have a zeiss folder myself, although much later, a netter 518/16 ... The one I'm really drawn to is the super ikonta b (532/16) I just think it look like a lovely thing ... Supposed to take very fine photos too! I quite like a square too!

My wider format folder is a Bessa I Vaskar ... But you know, I still haven't finished the roll. Shame really!

Thanks Brian, it is absolutely amazing the amount of detail and sharpness you can get from the big negs.
