Haha, it's quite an old camera and had it's fair amount of usage before I got hold of it. I was too keen to go and start shooting before I had even considered cleaning it up a bit. Hopefully the next batch of photos will be better and dust-free!

That is exactly the review I hoping for, the 1.8 does not compare to the photos you have displayed, definitely has helped with my choice. As for the noisy AF, I am very used to that with the 1.8 as it is a cheap lens it does make a lot of noise during focus and often misses the focus point...
