Fights & Fires Album Launch

This week I was given the opportunity to give live music photography a shot for the first time. Being a close friend of the band, and having worked with the band before in the past they asked if I would shoot the album release show.

Since releasing these photos I have been asked by 3 more bands to shoot their shows as well! So any feedback is much appreciated!

Really excellent stuff Daniel. Very atmospheric and I always think less is more with this type of stuff. The first is my least favourite probably for this reason but the rest are just great. A new Penny Smith in the making?!!

Thank you, the first photo was from the first band so I was still getting used to what I should shoot and how I should shoot it. Progressively, I got really into it.

these are cool man! i love band photography, its so much fun to do and you almost invariably get emotive photos ... good stuff!

Excellent! - I think this is one of those times where breaking the 'rules' and shooting into the light etc, really pays off.

You get all that atmosphere and feel of the live event.

Sounds like you have a roll going with the next three bands lined up - looking forward to seeing more.
