Fights & Fires Album Launch!

Hi all, the Thursday night before I went to Blackpool, Dan Matthews invited me to shoot with him for the Fights and Fires album launch - 'Proof That Ghosts Exist'.

I never had chance to go through them until today hence the delay but here are a bunch of the photos from the night.

Some of the photos are from the other bands, but I forgot which were which

Some good shots in there Curt, especially the 'surfing' shot. But, I hate to say it, but I think Dan's have the edge on yours but that's because I like the more 'pushed' look and the wider shots.

One thing I've often wondered is, when you do Gig photography do you use a flash or just a fast lens and the stage lights???

Well this was the first time iv shot a live gig, and I wondered the exact same thing, therefore I took the 1.8 and my flash.... But I felt that generally my pics were coming out better without flash, but then I'm not totally up to scratch on flash photography yet so who knows which is technically best haha

The stage lights should remove any need for flash IMO ... A fast lens is useful but not always required ...
Good stuff Curt, they are very much on the right track!
Have got some great shots in the marrs bar in the past, nice a small venue without being too small!
