We all change over time. As we gain more life experiences, more memories, more knowledge, things that were black and white are now gray and vice versa. What I find particularly unnerving is the patch of white in the black eyehole ... is that an eyeball looking back at me ...?

Sure ... let's start with name of the city/area and your location, (how are you shooting downward in the middle of a flat street?).

A lazy river or creek seems so comforting and relaxing. I wish I had one nearby. Most/all of the rivers in my area are concreted up for flood control. Fortunately, the various government jurisdictions are beginning to de-concrete the waterways out here to reflect an environment Mother Nature had...

I find them both thoughtful and enjoyable. But the second image is overflowing with stimulations. The black blobs of pedestrians contrasting against the gray street and shiny vaults. Who are they ... where are they going ... why are they all out now ... why are there more people in the street...

Sadly, some people need to be told where not to lean their bikes. :cool:

I really wanted to like the first image, but I found it lacking in tonal range. It all sorta merges into a dark gray image with nothing significantly popping out and grabbing my attention. Yes, the stump is obviously the center of attention, but in merges/flows into a somewhat similar gray zone...

Love the bokeh, especially on the Goldfinch. What are you shooting with?

My XPro-II broke, I'm waiting for the XPro-IV. The GFX does deliver an extremely nice image. Presently, when I shoot, I shoot with the XT-4. Usually, I shoot with two cameras, one with a wide angle and the other with a long lens. I miss the XPro-II.
