Welcome James! I too have an interest in watches. I have even taken them apart and put them back together (taking macro photos along the way). You appear to have had slightly longer photography journey that my 54 years...
Thanks for that Pete! You know a lot more about this that I do. I had seen IR images posted to various sites and thought it would be interesting to experiment with IR so I go the gx85 converted to 590nm. Now I feel that I possibly should have gone with full spectrum and used added filters. The...
As like Pete want to know: film or digital? Although my film cameras now far out number my digital ones I have never shot at night with any of the film bodies - mostly because digital is so much easier at night. Then, there is the question of street v. astro? Again, I have never been interested...
That's an interesting shot. It would be interesting to better understand how prominent her veins were under normal viewing circumstances. I'm not familiar with the behavior of 830nm.
The blueish/green is what I see through the viewfinder of the converted camera. The camera auto focuses correctly.
The far right is what I see through the VF. The middle is with just a red/blue channel swap and the far left tweaks the middle with some curve play in post.
There is a local sculpture in Troutdale. I'm not sure if he's responsible for the various pieces found "in the wild" in Troutdale (there are several). He used to have a huge bronze elk on the rook of the gallery but as of this week it's gone (I'm assuming sold).
I was in the process of shooting a set of similar shots using the Voigtländer VITO CLR and the Retinette 1B when the Kodak stopped winding and upon extracting the roll I exposed it all. Now I need to pick up another roll of FP4+ to continue with my task.
I was pretty pleased by how nicely the...
I'm sure it would be a joy to hold. The reverso that I owned once upon a time was quite a piece.
Not my actual watch but the same model. Mine was on a brown croc band.
With an estimated total production of approximately 5000 pieces. I wonder how many are still in circulation?
$4000 will get you a box of parts that includes several partial bodies from a guy in the Czech Republic on eBay.
The expensive is steep. All things considered each of the shot out of the new-to-me Rollei ended up costing me about $3 per click. Then there's the whole lag between shooting and experiencing your shots (even if you do your own developing - which I did not this time, hence the $3/shot).
