    Mostly pink flowers

A couple of weeks ago I took the Mamiya 645 for a walk around the neighborhood loaded with a roll of Kodak Gold 200. I was mostly interested in how the color would render. Of course, these posted images have been cropped and down sized to 1800 pixels wide (from 4824). The original jpg's were...

Semi-related... ...very nice set of crystal images through a microscope here.

Pretty cool Pete! The microscope that I purchased while I was fooling with watch work is boxed up in the garage. While I have a damaged retina in my left eye that affects my eyesight oddly enough I could still see stereo-depth through the scope. I was never able to get tack-sharp photos through...

Critique Welcomed Excursions with my EXA

The shutter on the Perkeo is a manual cock. In that top image, the reflections upper right (at first glance) looked to me like a horse or a llama... but I can see that it's just a group of folks. I like "Fora as fauna" but I think my favorite is "Going up" - I like the shadows on the...

I like this shot Brian! You see the surrounding area and the rock is clearly the center of attention. I can see why it would have been a power place for the Navajo. I've been to the other quadrants of Arizona but not to that area. I need to go back!

    space tacos

A colorful and musical celebration (albeit, a day early) :) The pink lighting works great with the mini serapes!

A few snaps from my Retina.

5297 would have gotten a shot from me as well! I spent yesterday afternoon sliding my "new" Perkeo in and out of my jeans pocket. We'll see how that works out. 5298 works very well in b&w! Good job Ralph!

    Crape Myrtle leaves

Thanks Brian! The light is what dragged me outside. I was hoping that f/1.4 would do the trick on the background. It did... :)

Anyone shooting with a Voigtländer Perkeo II 6X6 Folding Camera?

Well, I may have shot the whole roll this afternoon - we'll see. I did a photo walk through some wildflowers at Rowena Crest with the 9-18 on my gx9 and had the Perkeo (comfortably) in my jeans front pocket!

    Crape Myrtle leaves

Thanks Beth! I was sitting in my living room looking out the window and was hoping that I'd be able to catch the light through the leaves against the really dark rain clouds that were coming closer. When I went out, I climbed in behind the tree and the front of my house but couldn't quite get...

    Crape Myrtle leaves

Gianluca, thanks for your comments! For both of these shots I was pressed up against the front of my house while behind the tree (bush?) looking out across the street with the neighbor's cars and houses in the background. While f/1.4 did a good job, I did crop quite a lot of the lower portion...

Anyone shooting with a Voigtländer Perkeo II 6X6 Folding Camera?

Thanks for your reply Chris! The one I have seems to be in good shape mechanically. My wife and I plan to go east of here on a wildflower hike and I'm planning to load a roll of Kodak Gold 200 in as a test roll. It's a cool little folder (my first).
