1 if by land...

The Old North Church really looks squeezed in between the high rises. (Makes you wonder how the people were able to see the signal!;))

Nice shot, Glenn. By the way, recently I've been watching the John Adams miniseries that HBO made some years ago. It is really excellent. And although Paul Giamatti may seem cast against type as John Adams, he really is marvelous in the role (as is Laura Linney who plays Abigail). Have you seen it, Glenn? If not I think you would like it. (I don't have HBO but I am getting the series through Amazon Prime. Same goes for the series "Rome," which is also excellent.)

It only appears that it's hidden. You can still see it from where those pesky revolutionaries were...here in Charlestown.
Yes I've seen miniseries. Excellent. It is very interesting to walk around everyday and see the places where it all began. A beer while sitting at the Warren Tavern...where Paul Revere...George Washington...etc sat is pretty cool to.

I saw a wee bit of the mini series too. It was on on Saturday afternoons. I only knew two or three of the characters, but it was an enjoyable watch. Didn't see all the episodes, though.

Fine shot, Glenn, as ever. I feel I'm getting to know Boston a lot better than I used to. Cheers! (so to speak)

the real question is what if one of those sky rises left the lights on for cleaning that night? one if by land, 2 if by sea, 400 if by housekeeping? and why didn't they just use cell phones? would have made things so much easier.

Cell phones? Silly girl...they even knew back then that the government would be listening.
