2 views of the Captain's Tower

Forgive these digital images. These are of the Captain's tower at Flavel House in Astoria, Oregon. The guy built this place in the 1880's and only ended up living there for 7 years prior to passing away. Interestingly, the cost of construction was only $36,000 USD (a dollar went farther back then).

P.S. No need to apologise for digital - I'm pretty sure it's only chance and inclination that there's a good deal of film on here. Digital is no poor cousin!

Fabulous old building. Regarding digital pics, what Stevenson said. As far as I'm ware it's a level playing field on here, analogue and digital welcomed in equal measure.
Although thoroughly enjoy playing about with film, I wouldn't be without my dslr for shooting anything in colour (even the occasional b+w in ones and zeros).

I wish we had been allowed to go into the attic and then up into the tower. I suspect the view of the mouth of the Columbia would have been spectacular.
