On the left Rob: That is how two or three palm trees wrapped in white Christmas lights look when you're passing them and your shutter speed is slow. (You can make out several others further ahead.)

Sci-fi is exactly what it seems now that you mention it. And yes, those are Xmas lights.

I watched this documentary on the Doors the other night. This photo now has me singing LA Woman. My voice of course is far more melodic than Jim Morrison's which probably explains the dogs/kitten leaving the room when I started singing. They are jealous. Love the photo!!!
