I admire you efforts and understand the pleasure you get from the results of these set ups.
Isn't it just great fun?!
Amazing Darren, just amazing!

defo a ford thing Dan ( seen your shot before and that inspired me to have ago )

Thanks Darren, you've done a better job than me. Fair play! :)

i too have often fancied a go at this type of shot.

How are you mounting the camera guys?

I used a tripod, and then I put the seat belt around the 'bag hook' at the bottom of the main stem. Done. :)
Then drove with caution. Lol
How abut yourself Darren?

my tripod legs stretch out so it can be flat on floor if need be. so i had 2 legs in rear foot well, then 1 leg on rear seat, then reclined front passenger seat back to kind of jam the tripod in place, seats are electric so its pretty easy, the tripod was completely solidly wedged firm. then i manually focussed on dash, nephew sat in back with shutter release, i set camera for approx 13 seconds and drove slowly as steady as possible up promenade and he kept pressing shutter cable

simple hahah

Daz

PS would be great to see other attempts at this

Dam right Darren,
I believe that Kev done this too...... Kev?! You there? :)

Yes Mr Down, I did a while back but I'll be jiggered if I can find it. Used the 10.5 fisheye, munted the tripe so that the camera was slung under and the tripe was held between the legs in the footwell, the rear seat and jammed up against the roof and strapped in with both seat belts. have used both the remote and set the Laptop up to fire tethered at intervals. may well try it again when the D7000 arrives :D and now I have Lightroom which allows tethered shooting with the badfboy

It'll certainly cover more than your needs, it's fucksin mintings!! :)

Great images from you both. Can't help thinking this sort of image would look a trifle dull from the cockpit of my old Honda CRV :D

You don#t need all those fancy flashy boys toys that do nafall to have an interesting cockpit shot Dave, these guys don't know what half of those illuminations on the dash do anyway, they are just point and drivers.;)

Haha, but their cockpits look shiny and bright Kev. My old Honda is rather dull in comparison! (not that I'd swap my old beast, I love it to death, much to the Wife's chagrin o_O

But they didn't clean their windscreens before setting out and the 'dullness' attracts me thinks, have to say that or the Skoda will get upset
