Reading an interesting article about cicadas this morning got me thinking about a pic I took our road trip in the US a few years back, while we were having an otherwise routine rest stop en route. I saw this fella hanging from a tree and approached warily until it registered what it was. It's owner having shaken off this youthful constraint and moved on. A bit scary to the otherwise ignorant onlooker (me).
