wOw stunning set of four images, love them all but Eilean Donan Castle is fantastic with the water reflections and colour, and the light on the actual Castle. Beautiful indeed.

What time of day was this and with what Fuji lens can I ask ?

Very good images them four Davie, now mine just went into the bin from my travel there. Honestly I think that although a place is well known or famous, there shall always be opportunities where one can set one own marks on them. Something I think you have done here.

as i was saying earlier i thought i'd done my best with this castle previously but i couldn't drive past after seeing the light and reflection possibilities. And please don't throw yours away ... every one of yours i see teaches me something else I never noticed because i'm seeing them through your eyes

Was the Castle shot with the XF 14mm then cropped? It looks like a longer lens capture etc....

it was done in portrait so only the top and bottom were taken off, i tried to minimise the cropping

Love the b&w one the best, by far in fact. I don't care if I never see another shot of Eileen Donan, but yours is a particularly good one in that genre. But that B&W one is superb. Very atmospheric, and great cloudscape.

I had a feeling the B&W may have appealed to you lol I feel your pain regarding Eilean Donan being a Scottish person like myself .... I'm finding foreigners love it though lol

Great light and reflections on the Eilean Donan Castle. The flat water and reflections make the shot. A wise move to stop.
