A Day at the Show

I spent a day at the Canberra Show. Took quite a few photographs. This is a capture of a 'street' with a couple of youngsters. Oh to be young again.

Reg, those shirts! :)

Thanks for the comments. They were not far from the animal section of the show casually walking along one of the lanes. I used my 70-300 at a distance. Luckily there weren't that many people at the time.

The mobile phone - all the young ones have them hanging out of their ears. Modern times.

Thomas: - probably fell off a horse??
Chris: - typical country shirts here on Oz.

Reg - would fit right-in here at the Rodeo - same deal - country wear

Yes, Chris.
I am not sure whether you know about the Agricultural Shows here in OZ. All towns have a show once per year where the country comes to the city - so to speak. They display their produce, participate in rodeo style of events (not as big as the normal rodeos), show their catlle, pigs, goats, Llamas, sheep etc. I just love it. The young cowboys/cowgirls (and old ones too) get around in their usual country dress. You generally don't see this type of dress in the major cities (probably same un the US). However, myself being a former country boy from way back brings memories of my days on the farm. I thought this little group of country folk was quite typical - they grabbed my eye straight away hence the photograph.

Thanks Pete and Brodie.

Brodie: I don't mind the Shows. Very sorry to hear about that horror which happened in your home town the other day.
I also have cousins there too. I originally came from the Grafton area.
